Artist Statement

My art is about my life. I am a woman, a wife, a mother, an individual. I have a strong desire to create. As defined in The American Heritage Dictionary, Standard Edition, create; to cause to exist; bring into being; to product through artistic or imaginative effort. I choose motherhood and photography as my form of creating. The constant struggle between “me” the wife and mother, and “me” the woman and individual artist dominates my work. In diary form, my daily activities are combined with my emotion visually. Expressing time illuminated by maternal pride, I reveal how my worlds coexist.
