Artist StatementSince my early childhood, I have had a deep desire to interpret what "I see" by first drawing on paper, and then painting on canvas. Over the years, I am no longer content to simply paint my surroundings, I now want to create "moods" and stir "emotions" that will have appeal to all senses-Sight, Touch, Smell, Sound and to a degree, taste. My desire for space in my paintings developed after spending years throughout the Midwest and living on the South Shore of Long Island with its vast expanse of beaches. I have tried to create the feeling of a three dimensional look on a two dimensional plane, at first by the use of charcoal on paper, and then later with a painting knife on canvas. I believe that my success as an award winning, excellent selling artist, is due to the fact that people relate to my paintings. They feel they are in familiar surroundings and have either "been there" or would love to go. BiographyEDUCATIONC.C.N.Y. BBA Degree in Business AWARDS Mystic, Ct.
