Artist Statement

Megan Bongiovanni received her B.F.A in Fine Arts from Parson’s School of Design, New York, NY in 1999. She has also studied at the Pont-Aven School of Art, Brittany, France and the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. Working primarily in oil on small panels Megan creates paintings that are both minimalist and expressionistic. The landscape is a constant theme throughout her work with images evolving from personal photographs shot locally and abroad and memory.
